Aggie fans looking to watch the game can catch all the action live on the Big Ten Network. Lisa Byington is handling the play-by-play with James Laurinaitis serving as the analyst and Michelle McMahon down on the sidelines.

Fans can also listen in to the game on the Aggie Sports Network with NM State Athletics/US Bank Hall of Famer Jack Nixon on the call and Cory Lucas as the analyst. The broadcast can be heard on the flagship station, 99.5 FM KXPZ or with the TuneIn app.

The season opener with New Mexico State is 72 hours away and the excitement for the return of Gopher Football is hitting fans around Minnesota. Coach PJ Fleck took to the podium today and spoke about Thursday night’s opponent with kickoff soon approaching.

Here Come the Aggies!

“Aggie Vision” was live last Saturday for the New Mexico State opener with Wyoming and the results were not good. A 29-7 loss for the Aggies which will be followed by a quick turnaround to Minneapolis playing the Thursday night game.

The Minnesota Golden Gophers are hosting the New Mexico State Aggies in college football action on Thursday evening. The game is scheduled for a 7:00 p.m. start time and it will be televised live on the Big Ten Network. The college football odds for the game have the Golden Gophers favored to pick up the victory here.

Minnesota is laying three touchdowns here against a New Mexico State team that already has a game under its belt. The Aggies looked terrible in a blowout home loss to Wyoming, struggling to move the chains at all. New Mexico State finished with 135 yards of total offense in the loss, two yards less than Wyoming threw for in the game.

The -9 yards on the ground were poor as well. If you can’t run the football you aren’t going to win football games and the Minnesota defense will look to continue to cause New Mexico State troubles in the run game.

Here’s the thing — Minnesota is favored by 21 points in a game with a total of fewer than 46 points. That lets us know the New Mexico State is really in a bad position despite already having played a game. The Golden Gophers won just five games wit PJ Fleck last season, two of those games in conference play.
